about →
Miriam Pérez is a London-based visual and creative director who has directed and produced films on some of the world's most celebrated contemporary artists and exhibitions at Gagosian. In 2025, she founded Aesthetik.ai, an independent studio through which she explores the integration of generative artificial intelligence in filmmaking and art. Her debut film, Untitled [A Sediment of Loss], has received international recognition at the Kursaal-AI Film Festival in San Sebastián, the New York International Film Awards and the Venice AI Film Awards.
Her films reconstruct memory sensorially through non-linear narrative, giving psychological states symbolic form. The theatrical spaces she builds often become emotional enclosures, containers of intimacy. AI is both her medium and, in certain works, a witness to her interiority: unfiltered exchanges recorded in real time become, in some cases, the very script of the film itself.
Beyond her filmmaking, she is actively engaged in the wider discourse surrounding AI in the creative industries, with particular attention to provenance, consent and ethics. Through talks, panels and policy discussions, she tracks the evolving relationship between technology, authorship and artists’ rights, from UK government initiatives to UNESCO’s work in this field. She is also co-developing a new initiative supporting women working with AI across filmmaking, advertising and the wider creative industries.
Through Aesthetik.ai, Pérez accepts commissions from cultural institutions, studios and luxury brands — directing and producing film and immersive environments, and advising on the considered integration of AI within creative and cultural projects.
